Licensed producers are a key component of the Canadian cannabis market. They are responsible for growing, processing, selling and testing cannabis for medical purposes. They are also responsible for the research and development of new products and services for the Canadian cannabis market.

Licensed by Santé Canada and with years of experience in the industry, licensed producers are well equipped to meet the needs of both consumers and businesses. Santé Canada’s Licensed Producer system was created to ensure the safety of medical cannabis production. On October 17, 2018, this system was amended to include recreational cannabis production.
